I'm planning on installing a 8hp or 9.9 Honda on my 1750. I am moving to NE Ohio where most of the lakes are 9.9. Any advise on mounting kits, long shaft vs short shaft would be appreciated. Is there a way to tap into the main fuel supply or should you use a portable tank? I have seen the ads for a attachment that connects the kicker to the primary motor for steering. Please advise if worthwile. Thank you. Musky39

I have a Starcraft 176 which is of similar size. I run Mercs a 90 and a 9.9 long shaft 4 stroke.I have my fuel line tee'd with a ball for each motor. It has worked flawlessly so far. I also have a conecting rod for the motors with quick disconects and factory motor mounts. No problems there either. Hope this helps. I also run a sailboat style (shallow pitch) prop on the kicker to get below .5 mph.
