Location: Huber Heights, Ohio | I am interested in this rod, but don't have anywhere close to see one in person. I looked at an 8' Aurora but it was stiffer than I want. I am looking to use this as an "all purpose" type rod, what baits will it throw and which will it not.

I fished that rod every day of the outing and had a 1 oz Trapp split-ringed to it. It is my favorite rod and without a doubt the best bang for the buck. I also have a 7'6" ex-heavy Diamondback jerk w/titaniun guides that only weighs 1/2 oz less than the All-Star. If you happen to stumble upon a better rod in the 120.00 price range let me know, it will be next on my list.
I have thrown a 7 oz Magnum Dawg with it but that's kinda pushin the limit of that rod. It really shines between 1 and 5 ozs.

Location: Eau Claire, WI | David, if you're in the Eau Claire/Chippewa Falls, WI area...I have many different All Stars that I can show you. The 7'6" Xheavy would be a good rod for all but the heaviest of baits.

| Dave I wish you would have mentioned this at the cave, I had 1 in the boat the whole weekend and you could have given it a try. I think this is 1 of the better rods on the market in this price range. I did truly enjoy the new 7'6" diamond back, but that is 2 the $$$.
Good luck, any questions just ask
