Since this is old I'll bring it back up, and post a report since everyone is so shy.

Spent 5 hours on 8-30 and 4 hours on 8-31 on Miltona. First time on the lake fishing skis and it showed. Moved 1 short fish and caught 1 dink ski, and 3-4 pike. Fished mid lake stuff and shoreline stuff. Couldn't find much cabbage but plenty of the other crap that doesn't seem to hold fish. Burned blades, slow rolled some, and bombed big rubber. Lots of boats, saw 1 boat with guys high 5'in and watched Greg Thomas launch in the win on Sunday.

I wouldn't turn down any pointers for next time that's for sure.

Last weekend was slow out there for me as well. Normal patterns for this time of year not holding. 2 weeks ago I found concentrations of fish, now they are gone. Thinking fish are spread out. Hoping fall bait migrations will stack them up. May not happen for a few more weeks.

Heard they were going last weekend. Know of a 48 caught.

I've only fished it once, lots to learn out there.

I talked to a guy from Annandale area on monday, he caught a 47in fish that was really girthy. I know fish were going, they always are, somewhere.

Usually they are going on the lake I'm not on!

Usually they are going on the lake I am on and I am in the wrong spots using the wrong things. Apparently that's the only pattern that holds true for me

Am I right in my thinking that if you find the cabbage the fish should be close by?

You could literally spend all weekend long out there casting to weeds, and inside turns/points and none of it is cabbage. Out to 20fow too.

I side imaged a few areas and fished the deep weed edge with rubber on spots that "look" good. Of course those areas I didn't see anything but bait on the graph.

Oh well.
