Midweek of my recent Canada trip, while making a fairly long, the motor(Yamaha f90) hesitated a bit. A bit later it did it again, only more dramatically. I reached back and the bulb was soft, pumped it and the motor ran great. This was the case for the rest of the week, motor started fine, trolled perfectly, idled great, ran fine. But once on plane and running for a few minutes, the seemingly fuel starving hesitation would ensue. I'd pump the ball once or twice and it was fine. I've owned the motor from new for 6 years and maintain it annually(change oil, fuel water separator filter, etc). Te motor always runs non oxy fuel and I follow the instructions for proper Ring-Free addin.

I took the fuel water separator off, dumped, re-attached, snugged, still noticed the issue.

In lieu of digging the entire fuel line out(Ranger 690Ti), I'd like an idea on where to start.

I/we think it could be:
in the fuel pick-up in the tank
a hole in the fuel line that allows enough fuel through to troll or idle
plugged filter(I think I will start by changing the fuel water filter)
fuel pump/diaphragm(not sure about this one)
bad bulb(had one go bad on my other boat)

If not for the good fishing, it would've bothered me more, but it truly was little more than an annoyance having to reach back and pump the bulb once in awhile.

Thanks in advance for any and all help.

Reef , I had the same thing with a 1994 yar craft. It left me dead in the water on Oahe one time after many stutters, I took the line off before the bulb and blew back through to the pickup in the tank. never happened again. worth a try , very cheap fix if it works.

I had the same issue. Replaced the entire gas line on the exterior of the boat. Line, bulb and connector at motor.
