The locks for the storage bins and rod locker on my Lund are, well, a joke. While I realize nothing will keep out a determined thief, I would like to improve the security level a little if possible. Does anyone know of a good replacememt latch/lock?

ALL storage locks for boats will do noting to deter a truly dedicated thief. A good pry bar, and the back end of the lid is torn off even if the lock holds. Just keeps the slightly more honest and less determined out. It's a boat, not a wall safe.

Your best insurance is a boat cover....and good insurance.

Stainless steel hinges attached with fender washers on the bottom side and a stainless steel hasp attached with fender washers on the bottom side would probably be a good place to start.

You can also purchase locks that are not able to be cut with a bolt cutter.

He'd need one in the middle and on both ends of the storage locker, and again, a good pry bar and the lid is toast.

True, but the stock units require nothing more than a good twist of the handle to pop them open. Will keep looking for options.

Thanks.
