Posts: 162 Location: Metro, MN | I'm not sure if every gopro is mechanically lucky or unlucky, but how long are your gopros able to last when you turn it on until the time it dies, and what edition do you have? I seem to get under an hour of battery life with my gopro everytime on a full charge. Is this accurate? Edited by MuskyKarma 7/11/2014 7:03 PM

Posts: 1272 Location: Walker, MN | I get about an hour and a half with both my Hero 2 and Hero 3+. I started taking my batteries out after I charge...It seems like they drain when they are installed for a while.

Posts: 57 Location: LENA IL | I have the hero black and I just used it for the first time in the north woods this week and I was very upset with the battery life. I was wondering if I had a setting wrong or something but I can see I did not based on the post.

Posts: 618 Location: Michigan | I have the Gopro Silver and the Gopro 960 and both batteries last a 2-3 hours. I can usually get the entire day fishing with just one of the cameras as I have multiple batteries for both. I make sure to charge them with the Gopro USB cord as the batteries only lasted an hour when I charged them with a generic wall charger.

Posts: 153 Location: Antigo Wi. | I also pull my batteries out of the charger when full as they do seem to drain if left in. I bought the Go Pro dual charger also and can get about 3 hours of continuous use or about 4-5 if I am turning it on and off.

Posts: 181 Location: St.John, Indiana | Mine lasted between 3/4-1 hr. I bought a auxiliary power supply 10,000ma and modified the USB to fit the water proof case. Cost was around $90. My camera will last 10hrs . Joe

Posts: 120 | I have a black and timed it tonight recording 1080S/60fps I got 1 hour 37 minutes. A couple days ago I had the first one go dead, changed it and put the dead one on the charger in the boat and it was charged before the 2nd one was dead.

Posts: 63 | I have the Silver 3+. Get about 2 hours on a charge with the original battery and 1.25 hours on my Wasabi batteries. I just got a battery replacement pack that runs off usb. I use that when I put the camera on a pole and don't need the waterproof case. Runs indefinitely then, and much cooler. Heat kills these batteries in the waterproof case. If you are using them in the waterproof case, and in the sun/hot weather, don't expect more than 1.5 hours on the batteries. Also as mentioned high frame rates and resolution drop time. Absolutely love mine. Just haven't had much time to sift through the raw footage yet. That will be a winter project.

Posts: 183 Location: Grand Forks ND | I have the Silver 3+, record at 960 60fps, have all the external lights turned off and do not use bluetooth. I've never timed it, but I'm pretty sure I get 2.5-3 hours off a battery. Edited by MuskyManiac09 7/14/2014 11:03 AM

Posts: 134 Location: WV | What about if you use one for pictures or videos very little using the remote and blue tooth. Say catch a fish, hit the remote to turn on the camera via bluetooth take a few pictures. how long would the battery in the remote and camera last doing that?

Posts: 63 | If you use the remote, it means the wireless server is on for the camera. That will drain your battery just sitting there on. In fact, you need to turn that off prior to turning the camera off, then turn the camera off. The wireless is one thing that I don't use any longer. That may be the main reason you are going through the batteries so quickly.
