Location: Loves Park, IL | I've stayed at a motel in Cook that was very nice. On the east side of the road right when you come into town. Great if you're fishing the west side. |

| Call Steve @ spring bay resort! They are awesome! See if they have anything available. Just stayed there and they were extremely reasonable and the only way to go! |

Location: Minnesota | If you r looking economy...a place to sleep while not fishing and something very, very basic ...look up Marjo Hotel on the east side. We got back from three days up there today. Fished the east side ...weeds, shallow rock structure, mid depth rock structure, points, islands, extensions, bays...and saw one ski (caught a bunch of hammerhead brothers as a poor consolation)! The only thing that seems to b going right now is open water trolling at head of the lakes bay. Water temps were 69 - 70. If you are heading up in a little bit the water temps will kick up and the fishing will be much improved. Pm me when you get back and let me know how you did. Good luck to you. |
