| I think I'm going to be taking a trip to the BWCA in August. Do any of the lakes have muskies? Any help is much appreciated.

Location: one foot over the line | I've been up there around 10 times and have never encountered muskies. I was also inside pretty far, so they just may not have been in that far. There should be some info out there on the net somewhere. There should be enough northerns out there that will make your arms sore by day 2. What's your entry point? And, when you think that you have strong enough bug dope and enough of it, triple it. |

| East Pike has some shoepack, but from conversations with the DNR CO up there the population is getting knocked out by northerns.
Crescent just outside has lots of shoepack. Kinogami would be the only other one (connected to Crescent). We tried to bush wack it in there and gave up after a few hours. Almost wrote a check to the canoe's owner because it was stuck in trees a foot off the ground. Idk how we got it back out. |

| You're welcome. Check out the MN DNR recreation compass. You can get all your reports and more there:

On the map, go to Tofte on lake superior and go in from there on the sawbill trail. It's a crazy devil-horn looking lake just east of sawbill |
