I am looking for some tips on painting. I finally got the weighting down but am having some problem with paingint. As u can see in my pics the 2 painted lures u can see the wood grain still. I was using ceader and the lures felt smooth but cant figure why the lines showed up. The pic of the 4 are made out of oak and still need some work done before painting. I look at all the lures on here and would love to be able to paint like that. So any pointers and criticism are very much appreciated. I have a air brush but not a expensive one. Give me some help guys!!!!!

have the grain of the wood go length wise. use sealer, then primer before paint.

The grain must go nose to tail. With the way you have them now, not only will you have end grain along the top and bottom, which is very hard to route much less paint, but you could snap this baits in half like a match stick.
