Subject: Forest County Lakes?

Will be stuck in Crandon for a weekend, but will have a a few hours here and there to fish for muskies.. what lake is my best bet in hooking into one (within about 45 min drive)? Last time I was there, tried going back to Riley, but had a hard time getting the boat back there.

Thank You!

If you are in Crandon I would just take Hwy S north and go to 3 Lakes. Cant beat the chain for an overall experience. Pelican is not that far either. Just down Hwy 8. Otherwise, if you must stay in Forest County try Lilly or Roberts. Roberts is super clear and a popular water sports lake where Lily is stained.

I'd go to Roberts, quite a few fish in that lake and a few tigers to boot. I have a buddy with a cabin on the lake. Fish deep weeds and maybe the cribs.

Three Lakes is so big, I wouldn't know where to start! It is on my list, but will probably hire a guide my first time up there. May try Pelican area one day and Roberts and Lily area another. Any advice on what to throw or structure to look for? Personal messages also welcome if you'd rather not make it public to everyone! Thanks guys!

I will be staying on Roberts lake this weekend and was wondering how you did up there. Any tips would be greatly appreciated. Feel free to PM me if you would like.

Thank you,

Kyle

I did not end up getting up there, but it sounds like I will be this weekend or the following.
