We usually go in late july or early august and bottom bouncers with lindy gumdrop floaters in any of the bright colors will work, you just have to try the different ones to see which gets bit more. Also we've used spinner rigs and sometimes those help and sometimes they prefer just a plain hook. Where are you staying?

Location: north central wisconsin
Musky fishing is equally good in Minaki area as it is downstream to the north.

I was just up there last week. The muskies are starting to heat up. Managed to get four nice ones in the boat. Mepp 5's, showgirls and topraiders seemed to be the ticket. Wasn't targeting any walleye when i was down there but people were catching them real shallow.
