Hey all,

I have two Shimano Corvalus 300 and both of the reels have been used for two years. Each reel will randomly stop working. I will cast and upon trying to reel, the spool will not re-lock and my crank just spins in circles without pulling line in. I have to proceed to take off the side of the reel and mess with the insides to get it back reeling. This happens on BOTH of my reels. Has anyone had this problem? How do you fix it ?

Best,
John

I would suggest upgrade reels. That's about the lifespan depending on how much you use those reels. I've got 2 of those as well but only use them as sucker setups now because I know they are on their last leg..

Disagree. That's not their "lifespan" There is a reason they're not engaging just like there is a reason when a more expensive reel does not engage.
