So my wife was nice enough to pay for a fly in day trip while I'm up on LOTW, I have considered the following

Shingwak Lake (I believe I did this one two years ago, though am not 100% sure)
Rowan Lake
Kishkutena Lake

Anyone fish these, or have any other fly in lakes I should look into to?

Thanks

Lac Seul, On. get hold of a resort on Lac Seul and I am sure they will set you up with a guide for a day. Good lake a 56'er took lunker of the month ( October ) in 2013 in the Muskie Inc. contest. Kishkutena would be good also but Lac Seul puts out some monster Fish. Lac Seul is on my short list of lakes to fish. Marv.

If you can arrange it to Rowan, I would definitely do that. And see if you can get a day with Don, he is a great guy to spend a day in a boat with. He will teach you more than you can ever imagine. I've fished with him twice now and both times were a tremendous learning experience! Rowan is a special lake where BIG things can happen quickly. The lake gets very little pressure so the muskies act like muskies. There are some super tankers that roam that lake that will make even the most seasoned anglers' knees shake. I have some redemption to take out on a fish that showed up and made a half @$$ attempt to eat at the mouth of Miners Bay and disappeared under the boat like a ghost. Saw that fish day 2 of 7 and never saw her again! If I've ever seen a mid 50+lber, that was it! give Don a call and see if you can get something arranged!

really depends on what you want....2 of the 3 lakes you named will be high numbers, crazy action but not much of a chance at getting a big one. If you went to Rowan you are probably looking at maybe getting one fish but it could be a giant....

Agreed...give Don Pursch at Nielsen's Fly-In Lodge a call and you won't be disappointed. A trip to Rowan Lake to fish muskies is as good as it gets. You can connect with Don via their website: www.nielsensflyinlodge.com.
