How did everyone make out this year opener. Fished 2 different lakes in southern ontario near the kawarthas and more east. Landed 1 and raised 4. The musky that I raised would follow chase again when I switched up baits but would never strike. Any idea why the wouldn't commit and turn at the figure 8? Found water from 72-77* today was blue bird skies and calm. Found fish on sand flats near weeds and main lake structure.

Does muskie season open earlier down south?

We can't fish for them here until June 21.

Curious.

Justin,
The muskie opener for the Kawarthas ( and a few other waters) is the first Saturday in June.

Interesting! Thanks for the info. Sure beats trying to find it in the regulation book!
