| I'm looking to add a trolling rod to my collection two questions
1) do you need a trolling specific rod or could I use one of my current casting rods?
2) what would you recommend for an inexpensive trolling rod, both brand/size/action. I mostly cast as I don't get to fish a lot in the early months/fall so i'm looking for something that won't break the bank. |

| 1) no but why put the stress on your casting rods if you don't have to
2) you can get a pair of 8'-6" H shimano TDrs for around $60 |

Location: Northwest Chicago Burbs | Shimano TDRs + Okuma Madgas (I like the 20s primarily, but for big lipped cranks and boards, try the 30s) and you're set. |

| So what model on the TDRs, most likely will be pulling bigger cranks,
