| Looking at adding a general setup as throwback and for buddies who haven't quite caught the bug yet. Really only debating on the reel. 400D or Lexa 400 (6.3:1) and why
Revos - I've tried to like them and they just don't fit right in my hand. I know they're a bulletproof reel and I'll probably add one eventually when it floats across at the right price. Just not now.
Thanks!

Location: Minnesota | The only thing i don't like about the 400D is if you want to Chang the breaks its a pain in the but. You need a small screw diver the side of slide the spool out change the breaks pot it back together. Once i got it set it is a nice reel .i like my TE'S much better. I bought a used 401 TE just in case i take out a lefty with me. I wanted a reel that is easy to fix for a new guy works for me |

Location: Waconia,MN | I would say the lexa, if you're using it for a throw back and friends. You'll save some money and can buy some extra baits or just save it for other things. |

Location: Canada | In northern range the upcoming open will be first time for many of us to actually use the Lexa 400. Be nice to hear some handson accounts experiences "reviews" from people who've had a chance to give them a good workout. |

Location: MN | I don't know much about the Lexa but I love my 400D. It is a great all around reel which makes it a good canididate for what you are looking for. I don't see the brake access as an issue because I have thrown everything from the smallest to largest baits and have not had any backlashing issues and I have never adjusted the brakes. |
