When are you focusing on fishing the entire weed bed/slop, or just the weed edge? Time of year, weather conditions etc.

i know it might sound boring but i always start at the outside and work my way in then work the inside. conditions just don't seem to matter its just where the food is located on that particular day.

I find when the weeds get thicker but still clumpy and not consistnt yet that the fish get up in them more. It creates good ambush points and funnels.
My buddy and I used to fish weedy Kawartha Lakes in Ontario a lot and late June and July that pattern was hot for us.
