Pikemaster--
Loaded question I know. what's your opinion of a 400b for 10's. Getting a used one from a friend but used in salt water for 1 year. He did say it was always rinsed after use.Price is right and should it be looked at (by you) to be gone through and any updates? Thanks in advance--Jim

I would have the reel serviced and cleaned internally before any use. Send me a pm and I can help you out.

I would have the reel serviced First !!! Salt can do Big Damage to a reel.
The 400B is a great all around reel, it will work for Ten's may not be the best but will work. I have 5 " double paddle power handle for any 400 B reel, $30.00 installed, that will help out alot. send the the reel anytime so I can work my magic on your reel.

I tell guys to go to a Tackle store and touch and feel the reel to see if it fits your hand.
Best reel is the one you like. So many good reels out there today, the Tranx is one of the best but is very big on the reel, the Calcutta D is one of the best all around reel, the Lexa 400 is a price point reel, one that won't last the test of time but is very price low, Toro is a low profile reel that alot of guys use. I have some ABU 6500 that have all custom parts that I use alot, don't abuse your reel and any reel will last you for years.
