Anybody going to the Croix for WI opener?

I'm thinking I might give the shore a chance this year.

If you shore fish it, you have several options. King Plant in Bayport would be a good starting point. Next would be the Mallalieu dam, which you need to access right by the Lake Mallalieu access before you cross into North Hudson. Otherwise, you could run the entire length of Lakefront Park in Hudson, casting all the way down the retaining wall.

Just to let you know though, the water is very, very high right now. Lakefront Park is underwater. You are going to need a very significant drop in water for shorefishing anything other than the dam.

MOJO...Lakefront will be out of the question. At 683', the entire river is no wake and the launch there is underwater.
