Location: Madison, WI | Do some research on Pewaukee and Okauchee lakes. They have a great reputation at spitting out some big fish. Both aren't exactly easy to fish, but if you spend a good day out there, you're sure to tie into some monsters |

Asking those who know more than I is part of my research.
I do have the WI DNR's Musky Waters (by county) list up and I'm cross referencing it with the WI Counties Map, but while watching the Stanley Cup playoffs I'm open to any suggestions that could speed my research along.

Location: N.FIB | maybe try petenwell for musky and could bottom fish for walleye,also the mad chain,kind of a long drive for you. |

| I'll be on Pewaukee cuz that's my home lake. You can also walk on water just like in the bible. Yes, there are so many boats there you can really step from boat to boat across the whole lake that day. Bring a patient attitude and get there early. The fun is not fishing but getting to say hi to all the regulars and hang at Smokeys for a while. You can also pull up to Sports Dock or many other fine spots for a great burger and a cold one. Italian sausage is my favorite with basket fries, but you'll start to look like me if you can't stop. |

Location: north central wisconsin | I'd pick a lake vs a river right now if you aren't familiar, in terms of safety. Many rivers are out of their banks and haven't crested. We have flood watches/warnings in central Wisconsin on the Wisconsin River, upper Petenwell. Water temps are ranging from 38-45 in the area.

Location: Hudson, WI | Arbutus by Black River Falls is the closest lake that you can legally fish. I know absolutely nothing about it, but that would be your shortest trip. |

Location: New Berlin,Wisconsin,53151 | I'd fish the Madison Chain as I don't think it's worth the extra miles to come to Pewaukee or Okauchee, the water is too cold. The last couple of openers on Pewaukee fish have been caught and the boat traffic is a lot lighter than any other weekend once the warm weather hits.

| Arbutus for sure! don't overlook below the dam as the muskies run up the river to spawn for opener!
It's like trout fishing for big muskies!

Location: Otsego, MN | I will be out most of the day tomorrow and Sunday but unsure of how much I will be fishing muskies... Ill be on the Madison chain trying to find the walleyes. If thats unsuccessful I may try for some crappies.
But if its anything like last year, 1 hour into the trip I throw the walleye gear down and pick up the muskie gear and start casting. #*^@ fish is addicting!
Water temps will be mid/upper 40's possibly low 50's in the shallow bays or Mudd Lake but I wouldnt expect much to be going on...
One could always join the circus on lake wingra haha |
