Power tilt/trim would only work going down. Switched solenoids around and problem reverses and now will only go up. So I bought a new solenoid and installed it and new solenoid doesn't work. So, I switched them again and old solenoid works wherever it is, new solenoid never works!

Other than buying a brand new bad solenoid, does anybody have any other ideas.

Thx, Rob

Faulty relay? Just a thought but not for sure. Also check your fuses for connectivity. I had the fuse issue once and it drove me crazy

If the one you had worked wherever you put it and the new one didn't work anywhere... Im assuming there are two solenoids... Take it back and get another new one that works.

Solenoids or relays? If Solenoids be sure to get an OEM solenoid, have seen many issues where people try and use an aftermarket or automotive solenoid and they don't work.

If you moved the working solenoid to the non working circuit and it functions. That tells me the drive in the non working circuit is OK. My guess is that the new solenoid is wrong or faulty. One thing you could try is putting the new solenoid on the known good circuit and see if the known good circuit works. To do this leave the original bad solenoid in the non working circuit and put the new solenoid in the known good circuit(to eliminate variables). If the new solenoid does not function in the known good circuit, you have confirmed the new solenoid is faulty or wrong in some way. Good luck!
