I just had my terrova 101 rebuilt. Everything is new except for the ipilot. I put it back on the boat, hooked it up and the sonar cord got really hot. Everything was good until then. I checked the connections for the 520c and it was fine. I plugged it into the hds 9 and it heated up too. Both head units work fine when the sonar is not plugged in. Leads me to think that something is unhooked or hooked up wrong in the trolling motor. Any guesses?

Will do. But I was heading to the lake in the morning and unfortunately they closed at noon today. Oh well, I guess I will just have to wait til next weekend.

Does it get hot when the trolling motor is unplugged from 36 volts?
