Location: Quebec, Canada | Hi, I recently purchased a used reel and when I received it, I realized that there was something wrong with it. When I am spinning the handle, there is a noise coming out of the bearings I think.
I have made a very short video trying to illustrate the difference between an ok reel and the problematic one.

Any help figuring out what might be the problem would be appreciated,
Thanks.

Location: MN | Does it make the same noise with the spool installed? It occurs to me that without the spool shaft holding the pinion gear in exact alignment with the drive gear, that it could be making noise. My other guess is that the AR pawl is out of place or off its post and the ratchet or drive gear is hitting it. Without seeing it though that's just a guess. |
