It may have been asked before but what go people use to paint on soft rubber baits like bulldawgs and storm kicking shads? I want to repaint a few on my old ones and get some practice in at customization. Any brands or links to buy some stuff would be helpful.

This stuff is water based, air brush friendly, non toxic, and sticks to the bait better than I thought it would. I fished some baits all last summer painted with this stuff and I had my doubts, but ended up really impressed.

Might not stick as tough as a few of the really toxic brands, but it's also better than some others I've tried before too.

I guess I am gonna have to actually talk to some manufacturers and some guys I know that paint other things and see if they are willing to share some info. I have tried spike it before and it is decent built seems to fade out.

Did you try alumidust? Brush it on and hit it with a torch to seal in the color.

Just talked to Mike at Makelure.com who informs me they have all colors except PINK (go figure??) in stock, but since pink is out of stock, complete kits are not available. He's got all 30 odd in stock ready to go! The way it's listed is a bit confusing so it's understandable to have concluded it was out of stock. Some of the bass guys are going absolutely nuts with this stuff and coming up with some really unique color combos using layering techniques.
