Location: Quebec, Canada | I'm really thinking about buying a St.Croix Classic Jerk or The Jerk. I'm a bit more sold on the smaller one since I always felt like my 8' and 8'6" were way too long for jerking baits properly without hitting the water or the side of the boat when fishing in narrowed position because of multiliple fishermans on the same side of the boat.
Have any of you guys tryied them and have an opinion that you could share to help me see the up and down sides of each rods?

| I love my The jerk, for the bigger Wood gliders, also topwater WTD, like weagle and homewrecker. Also great for 10-12inch suick. Also throw regular dawgs and other stuff very nice. |

| The jerk with the split grip all time favorite rod. I mostly fish solo and love this rod for steering fish into the net. |

Location: Grand Marais, MN | This kinda deviates from the original question but still related. There is a st. croix mojo musky is 7 foot 2 extra heavy, versus the class jerk lt ar 6 foot 9 and the jerk at 7 foot 6. I have that mojo it preforms nicely, and is right in the middle in terms of length between the two you were considering (if length is an issue to you)
given the choice between the two you originally considered, I would have to go with the 7 foot 6, it should fight fish better and cast farther |

I think 7'6" is perfect. |
