Posts: 364 Location: Central Wisconsin | Has anyone had success with bucktail and spinners in the spring in cave run? I have been reading about the cave and doesn't seem to mention anything about using these.

Small hackle feathers baits have been great here on the cave. Check out the PRO SHOP across the road from the Scott Creek boat launch they have most of the hard to find baits. The Water color or the Cave changes from day to day. Be prepared to fish shallow or deep on any given day.Has anyone had success with bucktail and spinners in the spring in cave run? Posts: 192 | Bucktails work just fine in the southern reservoirs. Many southern muskie fisherman are converted bass fisherman so they seem to prefer crank baits and safety pin style spinner baits over more conventional "northern" style muskie lures like in-line busktails, jerk baits and top water lures. Anything you use up north will work just fine down south.
