Hi all, we are going for a week mid July on the Pickerel River in Ontario, just west of highway 69/400. Does anyone have any experience fishing for Musky there and if yes any recommendations? thanks

I ventured a little up the Pickerel when I was fishing the Ox Bay area of the French River (where the French and Pickerel join) about 15 years ago. didn't move any fish but didn't spend alot of time there either.
I know the Hamilton chapter of Muskies Canada used to have their "Pickerel River Pigout" outing there every September with some very big muskies caught and released.
Like the French the trophy potential is there on the Pickerel. And like the French it can be tough at times. Sorry I couldn't be of more help. Good luck!
You should contact Andy at http://www.viciousfishes.ca I'm pretty sure he covers the Pickerel too.
