| I'm just starting out fishing for toothy critters and was wondering what everybody uses to make their own leaders, and where to purchase some supplies. Thanks |

| People use all kinds of leaders. I like Flouro but 49strand is pretty good too. Try Rollie and Hellen. They have a good selection. Cabelas off shore cat has all you will need too. |

Location: Thief River Falls MN | I get my fluorocarbon leader materials from Tackle Direct. Have had great luck with 130# fluoro using Jinkai aluminum sleeves(LI) and the Jinkai crimping pliers (SC-2C). Failsafe crimping and you cannot pull these apart. These guys have it all with the exception of the stringease snaps, which I get from Moores lures or Rollie and Helens.
Hope this helps. |
