Random quote: Muskies are nasty. They stink. They taste bad. They are hard to catch and will disappoint even the most devoted angler. The lures required cost more than some women's jewelry. The rods and reels require a remortgage of the house. The boat is always worth more than the tow vehicle. Sure beats the hell out of golf.

Make sure you sign up in time to make the Early Bird cut-off.

When do you have to be signed up for the early bird and what are the advantages of it?

April 1 is the Early Bird deadline.

Early Bird entrants go into a drawing for starting positions. On Saturday, Early Birds go out in order of their drawn boat number. On Sunday, all of the Early Birds go out I reverse order. Late entrants go out after all of the Early Birds have left and in the order that their entries are received.

Admittedly this is a small advantage. The real deal is it allows us to prepare for the correct number of participants when planning for the Friday evening sign-up cookout, the Saturday evening banquet and when deciding how much stuff to bring to stock the raffle tables. It allows the tournament committee guys to enjoy the weekend a little more.

Last call. Looks like we have a nice weather forecast for this weekend. Should be a lot of fish caught. Would really be nice to have a big turnout.
