| Mr. Pike,
Look back a few weeks from Mark H's post. Some good info there. I don't think anybody questions my support of Lowrance products. That said, I really like my Lowrance X-15. Best sonar I have used, ever. I also like the GPS, and the HotSpots maps. I got the updated MMC's recently, but haven't been able to use them yet and check to see if the accuracy is better. I do know they offer alot more lakes than the Garmin version. Also with the Garmin, you have to connect the unit to a PC. On the X-15, you just pop in a MMC.
Hope this helps. |

Location: Washington, PA | Hey Mike, I'm looking at getting new electronics for my boat too. But I don't think there are a whole lot of lakes that are offered with the gps in our area. Worth checking into though. |

Location: Woodstock, IL | You can pop in a MMC for Garmin as well. You just have to get the right unit. Their 188 GPS/sounder accepts cards and retails around $850. |

Location: Chicago, IL | Mike, if you are looking for something that does the job and isn't going to cost an arm and a leg I would highly recomend the Lowrance LMS240. I have it on my 620. I didn't see a need for anything too advanced because I only use it for trolling on the Fox Chain. It has a ton of good features and is very inexpensive. I got mine from Thorne Bros and got free shipping and no tax (I'm in Illinois) on top of their lower price. If you have any questions on it send me a e-mail.

Location: Woodstock, IL | The LMS240 has been discontinued and you may find it for less than $300 (if you find it). The 320 replaced it and retails for about $550 or so. |
