Location: Germantown, WI | I'm hoping someone can suggest a hotel just inside the state line of MN. When I drive up to Canada for my first ever trip this year, I'm thinking of spending night and then next morning getting up, going over the boarder and finishing the last 3 hours of the trip.
Are there a few hotels either in International Falls, MN or within 30-40 minutes south of there that you would recommend staying at?
Thanks, |

Location: Lake Country, Wisconsin | not sure what you are looking for quality wise but most places in Int. Falls are motels, rather then hotels..( small, cheap, small parking lots on the main rd) The Days Inn is a bit bigger and has more parking room if you are towing. |

Location: Leech Lake, Walker MN | Just a suggestion when we cross we always clear customs first so we don't have to deal with it in he morning and stay at the super 8 in the fort and have a nice dinner at Kettels get up and don't have to deal with the border and just be on our way.just a thought. |

| America's Best Value Inn & Suitees right on the main drag in I-Falls. Make sure you eat next door at the Chocolate Moose for Dinner! Outstanding! |

Location: The desert | La Place Rendez-vous just over the border in Fort Frances. Much nicer to get across the border the night before. Can even sleep in while everyone else sits in line trying to cross. |

Location: Lake Country, Wisconsin | agree with what the other guys said about crossing the night before and staying at either the Adventure Inn or Super 8....nice to get it out of the way and you can sleep in and take your time in the morning |
