Posts: 202 Location: Angola, IN | I have a power probe, but mine didn't work right until I put a funnel on it. When you pick up a funnel, just get the "one size fits all"....seems to work the best for me. I see some guys try to get real fancy and put batteries in theirs, but stick with what works....that's what I always say. And don't ask me what hooks to cut off of it....I'm not the right person to ask. Steve

Posts: 20281 Location: oswego, il | The old power probes(fatter, wider) ones would go side to side just reeling them in. Great as a jackpot too. You can even troll them. They are floaters and have great action. The new ones are sinkers. I bought one after seeing it at the new london demo. Looks awesome to me.

Posts: 2691 Location: Pewaukee, Wisconsin | Randy made the new Mini Probes last year that will work under the surface, these new weighted baits will work just reeling them in. The side to side action is very easy with this new probe, you can also get some belly roll with little extra rod effort. These new Mini Power Probes are weighted perfectly, they enable you to do more than the old ones because of the depth you can get out of them. They don't go too deep but deep enough to work over new weed growth or down weedlines. I had good sucsess with them last year working them over weed beds when the bluegills were in to spawn. This bait is great when you, clients, kids or wife gets run down fron casting and needs to take it easy for a while. This bait works by just winding it in slowly, the action is a wiggle from side to side, lots of movement from this bait with little effort. I had clients catch fish on this bait when they were "resting", its one of my easyest baits to work, just reel it in slowly and add a few surges or twitches for triggers from followers. The one thing you need to know about the Probes is don't work them too fast, if you do they will turn past sideways and the back hooks will hook up with your leader. These baits work so effortless and you can cast them a country mile. In my opinion they are a under rated bait that will soon catch the attention of the muskie word. Any questions about them please contact me or Randy, you can get to Randys web site directly from my web site, look under Sponsors for his clickable link(Wood on the Water).

About the link, here on muskiesfirst, you have a signature or whatever w/a link to your website, but the link doesn't work for me. i think it is because you dont' have the ending to your website in your profile w/ muskiesfirst. Dude, i am stoked about the Probe..thanks for all info. Hope all is well in Peawaukee. tomcat
