The reel has some boat rash, but works just fine. I've got five of these reels, so I'm thinning out the herd. The rod is in great shape and I like it a lot, but I mainly fish from a canoe and 14' boat so this rod was a bit much for me to haul around. It was used a handful of times during the 2012 season.
