Location: Contrarian Island | when the window opens there is flat out no better bait than a double bladed bucktail imo... now at any given moment that isn't always the most productive lure, way too many variables to give it to one lure, but day in and day out i'd bet a lot of money if you put a double 10 on your line you'll catch more fish than any other lure on the end of the line the whole time. ie take 4 great anglers on the same lake, same time, day in and day out, that double 10 will get the most hits imo.

Posts: 58 | I no alot of it is confidence n what ur throwing, but ill never step in another boat for a musky outing without an 8in. Black sucker Hellhound!!!! Many times this year I could at least move fish when nothing else was happenin at all, not to mention how many ate it!!! That or One of Musky Sluts gliders "Swerve" has put sum fish in my boat as well when nothing else would work!!! But then again gliders are my favorite way to fish, so that is what I'm throwing 75% of the time!!!

Posts: 2691 Location: Pewaukee, Wisconsin | I have to agree with Brad on this. A double 9 or 10 blade bucktail is hard to beat. But if I had to pick another I would go with one of Slammer Tackle's minnow baits. I can't think of a time all season long where I can't catch fish on his baits. Spring through Fall - Slammer Tackle minnow baits hands down work. Start small and finish big, he has them all. Great baits.

Posts: 1405 Location: Detroit River | Last year my most productive was a Bondy bait because about 50 % of my trips were jigging trips. 2nd was a double 8 bucktails, followed by Medussas. Medussas would have won hands down had I not lost so many fish on them.
