Frabill was said, and big Kauhuna was from the same error as the song your refering to?

Well, I know I am not close.

But what do I have to loose.

A thingy with a handle that turns, that is how, and a thingy to scoop up your quarry if you caught one now. They are the 2 of the three; are hidden in ONE, on the MuskieFIRST board, now attack the clues and find the answer; that you haven't, I am floored.

Sunday Clue!!
Fish for these, please...

Food for thought- My uncle is still fishing with a 1970s Ambassedeur 5000, with magnetic cast control on a 70's something Fenwick musky rod. It has a steel reel seat, that was not custom. Nothing wrong with either of the two. My point is do you want to catch musky, or catch the new fashionable trend in fishing!

I fear I am drifting farther from the answer...

Season, yes!! Time of that season, yes!!

Sunday clue numbr two)
Fish.

Not a muskie. Fish. As in noun. Yup. OK, then. March 1st in Wisconsin?? No more game?? The two ARE the the 18-5-5-12-14-5-20. find them in one post, sure, just DO that, OK?? Bobber. Find a Bobber to get warm. Bobber. Some bobbers are made of sponge. DO NOT confuse the sponge bobber with Sponge Bob. They are not the same.

Note from reality:
This is really fun. Find this one so I can design one that is actually difficult.

What starts with a K and has a letter that is silent maybe (i) in Krappie. Is a fish but not a muskie. You can fish Crappies in March and in this case Krappie is a noun.

here ya go:

------------------------------------------------------------------------
I can move a Krap load of fish on gliders during the spring with a couple takers, but the good ole Mepps and Rizzo Tails seem to really shine. I'm going to try incorporating some plastics this coming spring. It's happened way too often that we have heard of walleye guys getting into skies during the early opener on leeches and minnows. A reaper and sassy shad style minnow baits no doubt will catch a few slimers.I think the rubber stuff like on the n-et always shines during cold water temps and really come on their own in the spring and fall. I need to start focusing more on using them instead of the baits that I'm most familar with. The folks that make the cobra head also have a new jighead style out that I'm pretty excited about. I was able to get some pretty good pointers at the Chicago show from a couple of guys and I'm pretty fired up in trying them out with my new re-el. catch ya later, Krappie

OK, I'm feeling realy stupid right now. Here I thought I was looking for something similar to "the reel and the net post this to the thread" like the plaque answer was.

And what the hell were all those misspelled/altered words in the other posts pointing to. I must've found 10 or so of them.

HeHeHe, maybe this is the reason I don't catch as many ski's as I want. Just don't have a clue.

Congrats, Krappie. I wish I would have had the weekend to work on it, as I may have figured it out. Although, I knew Krappie was key, I spent my Friday afternoon at work looking for spring(or summer, fall, or winter), reel, net, and Crappie with a "C". Figured Steve was throwing a curve at us. The suggestion that I was the MAN led me to an old thread of mine, where all clues are mentioned, with 2 posts were separated by one.

Aw well, I'll bet the next one shall be a real doozy!

I hid the words in Krappie's post about Favorite Spring Baits. All clues referred to the location, Krappie, the reel and net and the fact I had altered the spelling by seperating the letters by ONE dash, the worrallswoodworking plaque, the season referred to Spring, the what do you need to catch a ski the reel, the net and the Bait part of the equasion, K was for Krappie, Specie was for Krappie, March in Wisconsin is Panfish only, again Krappie, 11 of 25 and then 26 was easy, the letter K,  code was for the reel and net, and the rest Krappie and Shep explain. I altered the spelling so no one could find the prizes using a simple search of the database.

Congratulations to Krappie. There were quite a few others who were very close to the prize. Do you want to have another one, just a bit more difficult?

Yeah, thats it Worrall, make it MORE DIFFICULT. It only took 10 days, 2092 views, 128 posts, and several million brain cells to solve this one. If you make it more difficult the next time around we might not get to the end before 'ski season opens, then it would get put off until winter.

Congrats Krappie, you da man!

Esox Junkie, I hate to say it but I feel bad winning since it was really a collective amount of brainstorming that took place to figure out the riddle. It was your clue that the letter K was a part of the clue and utlimately helped in determining the answers to the clues. You also contributed to knowing the answer to the lyric reference of the Byrds song "Turn, Turn,Turn" . That pinpointed to the "time of the season.".No doubt it was a collective effort and I have to give credit to all of you.

Hey Steve is it possible to have Esox Junkie share the day at Worrall's Hideout with me since he did figure out a good number of the clues and shared them? If not, I'd be willing to give him the oppurtunity to fish with you because of his contribution...even though I'd love to fish with you for a day(need for you to show me the ropes with the creatures).

catch ya later,
Krappie

Absolutely!! I will have plenty of room in the Patriot, and Worrall's Hideout sleeps 8 guests.

Wow, apparently I was off on a completely unrelated tangent somewhere then.

I found several headers in posts with misspelled words. Looked through the post itself and found more misspelled words. Thought somehow that by using the missing or added letters it would reveal some kind of code.

"Diamnodback" instead of Diamondback
"Triva" instead of Trivia
"Trillion" instead of Trillium
"Fore" instead of For
"WIsdom" with the WI capitalized
"apint" instead of Paint
"Majic" instead of Magic
"Glidder" instead of Glider

How far off was I with that Steve? Please tell me that they somehow, somewhere pointed to something relative to this contest.

"Stupid is as Stupid does."
God, I have nothing to look forward to in life.

Scott

PS Yeah, let's do another and make it harder this time. As if the countless hours we all spent on this weren't enough.

Sure, Krappie, I show you how to figure it out, take Sunday to drive back from Roberts, which gives you another 20+ hours to work on it, and you're gonna take everybody else along with you!! hehehehe

Then I can't even get somebody to tell me the actual answer to the first clue!! What is the answer to: "Today, the more there are, the less there are......"??????

PS.Actually, all I need to do to get up to Worrall's Hideout is buy another new boat with a skunk in it, and let him play Skunkeraser this time!!

One more thing, Krappie, how fast did you drive home Saturday night to start working on this? Probably like 90? That's OK. I have a real scavenger hunt for you. Did you used to have a black ear warmer? Did you not have it after Saturday night? Guess where it is? ROFLMFAO!!!

Hi Shep,
I don't recall you mentioning anything about what you had figured out on the Scavenger Hunt last Saturday. If you did, I would assume it would be a fatal error on your part since you now I was trying to figure it out also. But something tells me you wanted to figure it out as badly as the next guy and that information wouldn't be divulged. If you had it pegged, something tells me you would have made an effort to find the winning post and post it.
I hadn't posted it until late Sunday afternoon(despite the post saying it's the 15th...appears the time stamp is incorrect on all the posts on the message board).

Steve, since I feel bad that I had posted the winning post with the help of everyone on this site. I don't feel it's my right to accept the prizes given during this scavenger hunt. Please take the prizes and donate them for the Ashton Fund under the riddle solver's of this fun thread.

catch ya later,
Krappie

Krappie,

Hope you realize my last posts were all in fun. Just kidding you a little bit. I was getting close, but I don't know if I would have gotten there before you, even if I had been home to work on it. Personally, I think you should keep the wiinings, at least those you can use. Noble gesture to donate to Ashton, also. He needs our help, so if anything is up for auction, I'll be in the middle of it.

Daggone dude! Keep at LEAST SOMETHING like Shep said...you worked too hard, and all you did was sit on the branch and pick off clues, as did EVERYONE ELSE! So, keep what you can use, donate the rest; there will be opportunities for other riddles for others to figure out...:O

Im with everyone else here Krappie. If it were me, id keep at the very least the net! Had I won, I was going to have all those that contributed pick numbers between one and one hundred if they wanted the reel (i use lefty reels) but that net was surely going to get used!

I say keep what you can use!

Way to go Krappie...you seemed to be on top of many of the clues and I thought it was cool you thanked the team on this one. You earned it! but it is also thoughtful you would consider the items for donation to the fund. If I were you though I wouldn't pass up an opportunity to fish with Worrall around his homerange.

Shep,

The more there are, the less there are...click on the page number icon on the bottome of the page. How many pages come up for you? If your monitor is average, the page the post was on will be in the middle/end of that listing.

WHAT!!! You expected the first clues to give something away??? Not.
