| To those of you who own predators, do any of you have any pictures of the handles you had built on them? I'm trying to get ideas for a custom i am going to be getting at some point this off season...i'd appreciate it! |

| IMO, the bigger thing to consider is that there are now some different reel seat options if you ask. I really like the new "palming" reel seat that St. Croix is using on the LT rods. You can have a Predator built with this seat. The downside is that it limits you to a standard foregrip. (No "lonnie" grips.) From here you can decide what size foregrip to get. (I like 5") and then from there the handle. I personally prefer the split grips as they are less bulky. I also like a little flair at the end of the handle. Sorry no pics right now, but I think you get the idea.
I'd strongly reccomend dropping the extra coin on the Titanium guides. What a difference maker... |

| the fore grip itself ratchets down on the reel rather than a ring. I will attach pic later..

| The titanium guides are awesome. Exactly what Borz88 said. They are a lot more durable that the normal alkanite or hardloy guides sets. The best thing about them is how light they are. You may not think that having lighter guides would make a difference but they do. Grabbing a 9 ft rod with harloy vs titanium guides is unbelievable the difference. Everyone you aks that has gone the titanium guide route....wont go back. Yes it is more expensive, but it makes a big difference. If your doing a 8'6 rod or larger...go with the titanium. The weight from the guides on the end of the rod are a game changer...the more weight you can eliminate on the rod in general will help the performance of the rod as a whole. |

| I have to agree with Timmy again. I have Titanium guides on my MH, and H Preds (they feel like a Sage fly rod)...really nice.as well as a custome LT St Croix Musky Spinning Rod I hade made by Franks... |

| Titanium guides are all about the weight. I did my first rod this way (9' H-2") and it literally feels like I'm fishing with a bass set up. |

| I have 2 predators with Lonnie grips I have a 9'H-2, and a 9'3XH. I love the Lonnie grips they are small but I still hold the front grips. I went with the fuji sic guides. The best advice I can give is grab your rods you have now and figure out what you like and dont like about them. And use that info to build your custom. |

Location: Pewaukee, WI | I like the Simcork over the regular cork handles. 2 years ago they did a 9'8" Big Nasty blank with the 3" fore grip that tightes the reel down. I palm the reel so I was really happy with that real seat deal. The rear handle is 18" long ( I like that length) and the butt end was flared out from 1-3/16" dia. to 1-1/2". That was nice for casting.
This winter there doing me a heavy Preditor and the hadle set up will be the same as this rod.
