I was just wondering which musky show you guys like the best and why? I went to the MN show last year and enjoyed it. I live in Chippewa Falls, WI so that was the shortest drive...this year I want to go to another show but was thinking about switching it up. I've heard the Chicago show is great and wouldn't be against the drive so let me hear your thoughts. I realize it probably depends on what your looking to get out of it, i.e. the swaps meets, seminars, shopping...I would be more interested in the shopping. I just got back into muskie fishing last year so I'm still stocking up pretty heavy

thanks,

Adubs

I have only been to the Minnesota and Milwaukee shows. Minnesota several times and Milwaukee last year because I was in town for a different function and had a few hours to kill. I like both shows. They each have a little different feel to them. I enjoyed the Milwaukee one so much last year that my fishing buddy and our wives are planning a weekend in Milwaukee this February which is near Valentines Day. They get to shop and so do we. I live 40 miles north of you and think that the drive to Milwaukee is worth it. I will also attend the Minnesota show this year as well.

My wife and I really like going to the Milwaukee and Wausau expos. We went a few years to Chicago, but it seemed to be getting smaller. If I had to pick just one, it would be Milwaukee.

I thought Wausau was pretty good. Easy drive from Chippewa Falls.

If people are looking for a little smaller show and in the Fox Valley/Green Bay area, Mosquito Hill puts one on in New London in March. It's just one day but I've seen some good speakers -- Saric was there a year or two ago, I've seen Steve Heiting there as well -- along with other good ones. They also have a decent amount of vendors and some pool demonstrations.

I live in Chicago area and attend the Milwaukee show.I am going back to Chicago ,1st time in years. The Chicago show from the long wait in line, to the hallway vendors , the pain in the butt to go to bathroom ,and than having to re-enter the show after going to bathroom, is just plain set up wrong.I wish some one from the tinley park il area would take over that show and use the tinley park convention center as the location.Maybe two blocks off of 1-80 .Plenty of hotels RIGHT there and center is made to have a sporting show. The location of the harper college show sucks also. Maybe ill wait till Milwaukee again im already peeed off and havent attended the show yet.0723

We go to Chicago & Milwaukee each year.  I work in Chicago but still prefer the Milwaukee show.  the setup is way better IMO.  Both are enjoyable and we make a weekend of the Chicago show by traveling to Pheasant Run for the All Canada show that same weekend.  I agree with previous posts saying the setup of the Chicago show could be better but it is still a great event.

Milwaukee is best in my opinion. I go to Chicago, Milwaukee, Wausau, and Minnesota and think think I'd rank Chicago last but since it's the first show of the year I always go.

I like the Wausau show the best. I get to see some people that I would normally not see at the other shows. I also like the seminar speakers I have seen at Wausau, especially Tony Rizzo! Last year I listened to John Dettloff while sitting next to Al Denninger. It as very entertaining. Al is a hoot! The show does not seem as "commercial" to me as some of the other shows. I also attend the Milwaukee show and have been to the Chicago show several times. Will probably skip Chicago this year.

Been to Chicago 5 times---went to Milwaukee last year and it was Great !!! Thinking I might skip Chicago ( it really is a pain for everything there) and just go to the Milwaukee show this year. Wausau might be another choice for me as its close enough to make a weekend out of it.

The Madison fishing expo is not a musky only show, but it does have a decent number of musky vendors, and if you are looking for boats they have more than the Chicago and Milwaukee shows. Between Chicago and Milwaukee I prefer Milwaukee. It seems there is more room to move around and Milwaukee has beer.

I have yet to attend a musky show I did not like. All of them are great. Now if you can throw in a beer girl.... Who does not like beer girls At Milwaukee I am right next to the beer stand so in that case, I am the beer girl and then I can understand if your not fond of the "beer girl"... I have gained a little weight since my prime beer serving college days.
