Please show your support for Veterans by attending the Milwaukee Musky Expo (MME) on Fri night, Feb 14, and visit the Operation Muskie auction.

This year Operation Muskie teamed up with the MME and will be hosting a live auction at the show on Friday night, February 14th. The live auction items will be lures, rods, novelty, custom items and a whole lot more. It's going to be a GREAT night. John Gillespie will be the auctioneer. There will be many Operation Muskie guides and Veterans that participated in Operation Muskie. The guides will share fishing technique and the Veterans will share their memories from Operation Muskie.

We are requesting your support. This is Operation Muskie's primary fund raising event for the year. Please join in for a great night of camaraderie, fishing stories, and most of all, to support our Veterans.

100% of the money raised by Operation Muskie fund raising will help take these vets out on an all-paid trip excursion of a lifetime – a peaceful place where memories and friendships are made.

Operation Muskie's motto is "putting thanks into action." Each year, many of us volunteer our time and equipment, and take 20 US armed forces veterans to Lake of the Woods for a week trip. In June 2013, we completed our 6th annual OM trip and have, over the years, provided 120 veterans with some tremendous memories and gratitude for their service. During OM 2014, we'll take care of our 121-140 Veterans. To learn more about Operation Musky, please visit, www.operationmuskie.com. You can also find us on Facebook, Operation Muskie (Non-Profit Organization). Click "Like" and scroll through this past year's event.

Just a quick reminder for everyone. Please make sure you visit the Operation Musky booth and pick up a Camo-D SuperD lure. Both 5oz and 8oz sizes will be in the booth. They will have 300 lure available for a suggested donation of $15/lure. Hope to raise $4500 at the show. 100% of the proceeds will be kept by the OM group. Very cool looking lures.

Don't forget to bid on one of the first Tackle Industries rods. We are donating a few things but the coolest is a one of a kind prototype TI rod we made 5 years ago when we decided to get into rods. I will also have a few early numbered, signed and dated SuperD lures if any of you collect lures.

Talked with a few other vendors in the last few weeks and WOW! Some real cool items are coming for this auction. IMO there will be no lack of funds for this years event for the Veterans.

See you there,
James

At the show. The swap is back to a 'swap and social', should be a great time!

The Operation Muskie auction will be on the seminar stage Friday night at 6. We are looking forward to a big crowd and having a lot of fun with the auction. There will be some great specialty items and combinations of items up for auction, as well as prints, collectable stuff, one-of-a-kind commemorative items and much more. The more people we get there the better.

Thanks guys,
Paul

Many thanks to Tackle Industries. James donated 300 Regular SuperD and Mag Super D in a new very cool camo color. These will be available at the Operation Muskie booth for a requested donation of $15-20 / each. Some of these lures will also be in the auction on Fri night.

Please support Vets and take home a great camo lure!

There will 6 guides that guided for Operation Muskie the last 6 years. They have some great stories to share between auction lots.

There will also be quite a few Veterans to share their experiences.

Come on out Fri night, have a great night of camaraderie, and support our Vets!

I was there with a couple of friends for the entire auction. Sorry I can't answer on the total but I can say it was a great time and the bidding action seemed good; to me at least.

I'd like to say thanks to everyone involved. John Gillespie did a nice job as auctioneer and showed some great video footage of the Vets fishing at Walsh's.

Thanks to all the vendors for the incredible donations. My buddies and I were happy to do a small part with a few purchases.

And a special thank you to all Veterans for your service. To those veterans that were there; it was an honor and humbling to be in your presence.

Thank you all.

I talked to the OM guys on Saturday, and I know it they said it was over $5000. I want to say closer to $5500, but I'm not 100% for sure.

Total raised was just over $5000!

Thanks to everyone… John G for doing an awesome job as the auctioneer, vendors & individuals for gracious donations, participants for attending and buying lots, OM guides & staff for running the event… and special thanks to Doug R and the Expo for hosting the event and Steve W and MuskieFIRST for their continued support.

This was a HUGE team effort… thanks again for supporting our Veterans!!!

Want to give a special thanks to JustEncase and Llungen Lures for the incredible box and lures combo.

They are absolutely fantastic.

And also a big thank you to whomever donated the Lakewood boxes filled with lures.

My buddy got the Lakewood Monster and I was fortunate enough to get the JustEncase and the smaller Lakewood.

What a treasure trove.

Thanks to all.
