Count me in for a St Croix musky rod. Just PM me with the instructions! I'll include shipping it to whoever wins the bid.

i'm in for a couple of my sucker rigs and extra hook sections if it's gets organized..
one thought that might be easier is to have whoever wants to donate anything just post it in the buy/sell/board and just send the proceeds to the link provided in this thread ? ! wouldn't really take any organizing that way...

Always been a fan of Laura, I'd be glad to make a few baits & rigs to support this. Keep it updated so I know where to send them and this should be a great turnout. It's good to see all the support on here.

FYI-My donations need to ship to a physical address. Feel free to message me this if you would rather not post it. OR I can ship direct to the winner. No need to ship twice. Let me know.

Hey, I'll ship the rod if that's the way it has to be, but it's expensive and then you will need to use funds that you raise to ship it again, which is sort of a waste when you are trying to maximize the benefit to the one in need. The rod is a St. Croix Legend Tournament, nine-foot Big Nasty. It's new in the factory package and does not carry my pro-staff imprint which means it has a full guarantee from St Croix. Auction it off, get the highest price you can get, and I will ship it at my expense to the winning bidder. I promise that whoever gets this rod will not put it down. It's simply the finest thing a musky person can own. I hope you make a lot off it! Marty

i agree shipping things 2 x is wasteful, why not start a thread in the buy / sell forum and we can all just post what we have to donate in there and we can ship to the winning bidder? might be a lot easier and less costly overall

I've got no stake in this, but I would argue that the way the last one worked had some advantages. It drew a lot of traffic to the site as guys were anxious to check it out each day. Also, knowing there was only one thing being auctioned off at a time kinda made you want to get a bid in so the you could get involved in helping someone out, before it all ended. I do understand that the extra shipping doesn't make sense, but maybe you all could organize it in a way to captialize on these other benefits over-against just having everyone post individually. (Likely it would just take sending pictures to whoever is handling the posting/daily organization and a little communication between the sending/receiving payment & shipping.)

I don't have anything to donate, but I look forward to possibly getting a bid or two in on some the cool stuff that's likely to show up. Pink-headed weagles, special Treats, and whole lot of other sweet stuff and the opportunity to help-out some one...are you kidding me?

I'm in for a custom pink 3 piece creeper along the lines of Lauras original Creepinstein...BUT I dont know if I can get one done in 2 weeks. If you decide to go with something along the lines of Lisa's Auction it would give some of us a little extra time by starting with items that are already made.

I also agree it makes more sense to have the person donating an item just ship directly to the winning bidder. I'd think anyone participating in a fundraiser like this should be pretty stand up. I know the postal service is hurting for $ but no need to take it from a worthy cause to help them out!

Also running 1 item a day from mid November on will take it a little more into the holiday season where people may even feel a little more giving.

Just a couple thoughts. Now out to the shop I go!

I, for one, like the idea of a pink-head from Cady.

All,

Thanks for the ideas. Been involved with a few auctions in the past and wanna make sure this all goes well. Payment will be directly to Laura's paypal account. I will get details worked out with MuskieFIRST on where the would like to hold the auction. If you do not want to ship to me first due to cost I understand the added costs just trying to make sure we have actual items. If shipping doesn't work out for you please email me all info including pictures to: [email protected]

I have received the TI rod and The spinner baits! Thank you! I'm hoping we can get this all ready to go by Thanksgiving!

Laura is currently undergoing chemo treatments and is still her usual smart ass self! Just bald!

Sending some baits out tomorrow. Some good stuff, some really obscure stuff. Two Divani Gliders, a Smutley Dog VRB just to name a few. There are two nice jerkbaits and I even don't know what they are. Work great. There is even a 10" Squirley tail Phanom. All baits new or like new.

We did this over the summer lets do it again!
