Posts: 369 | Hey everyone I was just wondering what your most used or the most beat up lure you have is. Mine would be my topraider before I repainted it. The paint was chipped everywhere, Tail was bent, And tons of hookrash. -Zachary

Posts: 93 Location: Des Moines IA | My first musky lure is a 34 year old clown colored Cisco Kid. It has caught hundreds of fish from musky's, pike and a few large walleyes. I smile every time I see it. Looks like hell but still tracks in a straight line. I think I may retire it in a shadow box with a couple of fish pic's.

Posts: 369 | I understand that, I have some lures, not for muskie but they have caught many fish and one cool thing I saw at the 2012 chicago muskie show was a picture of the fish you caught with the lure underneath it in a shadow box. -Zachary

Posts: 409 Location: Almond, WI | I had to retire my best Bobbie Bait a couple years ago, tail wouldn't stay put anymore, about a third the paint missing. Of baits still in service, probably my firebelly Hellhound, missing both eyes, hook wear grooves, the black on the back is chipping off and teeth marks galore.

Posts: 171 | I have a DC-10 that has no skirt left. Can't wait to be back home to fix that lure up a bit. After all the hits she has taken, she still swims straight, but needs a new skirt. That bait is so hot every fish in the lake takes a looski. Makes me jelly. Edited by bshep 10/28/2013 8:04 PM

Posts: 667 Location: Roscoe IL | Ty Sennett has a Suick named Suzie that I ask to use every time I make my way out to the big chip. It has almost no paint left on it but runs perfectly. Last time out with him I got a 42"er on that old girl. Not sure if he retired it, but I'll throw a tree branch if it does what I want it to. My personal bait is an old large pacemaker, looks about the same as Suzy with tooth marks all over it and very little paint. It's a wall hanger now...

Posts: 63 Location: Minnesota | 10 inch phantom softail. I use it almost every time I go out, the wobble and belly flash is amazing, I can get at least a a follow or two every outing it seems like when I have it on. Major hook rash all the way through the thick epoxy, paint is completely gone in patches on the top from teeth. The tail is essentially melted/glued together from all sorts of rips and tears, I'm surprised its lasted this long.

| Hey Don, so do you happen to have a picture? I'm curious in seeing the suick, or any suick that is twenty years old and used. Edited by bllhogg 11/28/2013 7:52 PM | |||

Well, I'll be danged...I remember reading about that bait but for life of me I couldn't recall who it belonged to. I hesitated posting about it but wanted to. Thanks Don. Thanks for the memories and that article. Loved it. Brings back some long-ago memories...!!! Glad you caught this post and jogged my brain. Jeremy.
