| Does anyone use a hand-held remote while casting?
Where do you attach it to your body? Does it make any sence to have one? |

| My trolling motor remote has a lanyard and clip that i attach to one of my belt loops. I then put the remote into a front pocket so it's not just dangling there. I don't find it useful during a retrieve, as using the foot pedal lets me continue reeling, but it does come in handy when i've got a fish in the net and don't want to drop the net to run up front to manage the trolling motor (Anchor feature is also handy if you have it).
I also like using the remote between casts to adjust my speed, as I still haven't mastered the art of using the dial on my Terrova foot pedal. sometimes with my foot i'll get a 1/2 speed adjustment like i wanted, other times it spins up 4 notches and suddenly i'm going 2mph faster. |

Location: Twin Cities | I never use mine while casting. I keep it out so I can use spot lock but I like both hands free for casting. |

Location: sneaking out to get on the water ;-) | I use the remote more than the pedal. I also clip mine to a belt loop or suspender strap. Most adjustments can be made very quickly between casts. I will make some adjustments with pedal or shut off troller with pedal when I get one on. |
