Got some baits I want to get custom painted. Whats the best way to remove the paint that is already on the bait?

normally re-paints guys just remove hooks/rings. depending on baits the custom painter makes the call.

i have a bunch of original 9" Erines. Going to keep a few in the stock color but want to get a few painted. Buddy told me to sand off the paint but i don't want to screw up the body of the bait.

Lightly scuff the bait primer an paint on top of the old paint you'll be fine

Scuff and paint. I strip epoxy but not thin clears like ernies.
