I have a wooden crane that I can't find anymore and I had a fish eat it and when I set the hook the eye got ripped sideways and the bait doesn't run right. Has anyone ever fixed something like this?

I think the best your going to do with it is straighten out the thru-wire to about how it was and fill in the void with some 5-minute epoxy or plastic-weld shape it as you go. gently tune. may get a couple fish out of it yet, that's what i've come up with in fixing balsa. That is a great bait right there especially that pattern it has worked well for me this year.

I have fixed many Cranes--All you can do is straighten the lead wire and use 5 MIN EPOXY to hold in place and seal the wood--it will break again---great Baits---I love them---but the balsa wood is fragile. I saw some that color combo at Rollie and Helens in Minocqua Wi, earlier this season.
