The 300E comes with a double paddle handle. The EJ has the power handle, does it also come with the double handle?

Thanks, Bob

Nope, but you can buy one for it though for around $35-40. I have a double paddle new I could sell as well. BR

Sorry to hi-jack but I have a similar question, I am looking at the 301E, do you have to buy the power handle separate or can you purchase it somewhere with it already?

Thanks,
Trevor

The 300/301 E comes with the paddle, the EJ comes with the power handle.

If you want the power handle, I would just order the 300EJ. I just wanted to be able to use this reel for Muskie and other types of fishing. I already have a 300E, I just wanted another reel for another rod!
Thanks for the replies, Bob

Unfortunately they don't make the EJ in lefty (301)... Looks like I will have to buy the handle separate, thanks guys.

Is this correct, the only differences between the 300E and the 300EJ are, the power handle and the gear ratio?

correct

The 300E takes in 28in of line per crank and the EJ takes in 32in. I use it for fast moving gliders and walk the dog topwaters and I love it. Only problem was the power handle, it frequently engaged on the cast. I ordered a paddle handle from Shimano and have zero issues since. I have my Power Handle somewhere, if I can dig it up I'll sell it for $15 plus shipping. It's in perfect condition.

Thanks for the info. Great site. I want to order a 300, but am not sure about the power handle. I already have a 300E and really like it.

After all that, I decided to get an Abu Garcia Revo Toro 50. It comes with both handles. I have a Revo Toro Winch in bass size that I like as well.

They are on sale at Cabela's for $199, but I bought it off of Amazon for $208 because I had $82.00 in Amazon points from my credit card to apply to the total cost.
