What is the best strategy to apply epoxy to newly painted lures? I have heard acid paint brushes do a good job, also something about having to heat it up to get rid of the bubbles? Im new and at this step. Any tips will be greatly appreciated!

Here's an excellent tutorial by Solarbaits that will help.

How long should a bait be on the drying wheel after heat is applied?

Biggest thing is to make sure the lure is clean, don't touch with fingers (natural oil on hands). Apply in a place with as little dust as possible. If doing multiple coats, apply second coat about 3-4 hours after first to make one thick coat that bonds. If you apply second coat after the first one is fully cured you will get layers that may peel.

Once on the drying wheel, I've heard it should be there for anywhere from 12-24 hours. That's a pretty big difference. Is 12 hours long enough?

I use envirotex lite but the process is the same. The drying time depends on temp, humidity and so on. I've had them set up in as little as 4 hrs all the way up to 12 hrs. Then they may still be tacky so once they are set up for sure I turn off the drying wheel let them on the drying wheel overnight. Make sure they are set up and only tacky or the finish will sag and your baits will be ruined. Hope this helps
