Location: Illinoise | does any one use these? I have a couple and think they perform well. However, I haven't seen much discussion on this board concerning them.
Is the price a turnoff, or do you guys not like the product? |

They are the only ones that I use. I have caught many muskies and last August I caught over 200 pike up to 45" in Manitoba on them. The 50 lb test ones are the smallest that I use.

Location: Kentucky | It's all I use too, although I occasionally try some other titanium types. With a StringEase snap they make a great combo that should be unlikely to fail. |

I just bought my first 2 Terminators (single wire and braided) and was hopeful it would be a good investment. Thank goodness at 41 I still get a bone thrown to me on my birthday. Otherwise,I'm not sure I'd have bought them. Good to hear some positive reports. Thanks guys! |

| I have run these leaders since they came out. Initially they had some crimps break, but fortunately, they broke out of the box, and not when I had a fish on. I sent them back, and they were replaced. I have not had any failures for over a year, so I feel better about them. I only use them for bucktails, and spinner baits, and I always superglue the crimps, too. They last a long time, and never get kinked. |

Location: Northwest Chicago Burbs | I use the solid wire jerkbait leaders from Terminator. They are big $$$ for the initial cost, but being that I used 2 all of last year (one I had a parting of the line [my fault] and lost it), I do believe they are a very good investment. This is versus buying 20 steel leaders (they get kinked and bent, the terminators dont). But I will say this, I like to use the original snap for only a certain amount of time (remember, I bought the ones from 2001, bought them b4 the 2002 season) then I cut them off, and split ring on a new snap, I prefer the Berkley Cross-Locks personally.
I need to go out and buy another Terminator Leader before the season starts.....I hate to fork over $10+ for one leader, but then again, I know this is probably the one leader I am going to have to buy for the year (other than the mono ones I will be making for all my other stuff other than jerks/twitches).

Location: Kalamazoo, MI | Have any of you guys ever had one pull out with a fish(or log,stump,boat,dock,whatever else) on the end of your line? Something about a single crimp that worries me. This year im going to go from snaps to rings, and as much as id love to only have to buy one or two leader, im just really afraid that the first failed leader would be on the potentially largest fish of the season as dictated by one of Murphy's laws. |

| Hi,
I really only use titanium unless the water is clear and dictates for a flourocarbon leader. If you like the Terminator brand check out leaders for less.com they make an awesome one. They seem to hold up longer and are a bit thinner in diameter for the strength rating.

| Have used them for 2 years, they're a great leader if they don't come apart at the crimp. Had one of 6 come apart . I sent it in and received two back. BEFORE you use it, look the crimp over real good. The one I had pull apart had acrack down the side of it. Terminater assured me they were aware of the problem and are changing the crimp material. So hopfully that will take care of it. THe stringease snap is not anywhere near as duable as the leader material so make dam sure you keep replacing them as needed. I of course learned that the hard way!!!! |

| I used one all of last year. The only problem I had is that the snap came open once on me, luckily the fish was in the net when it did. They seem to be very reliable and hold up for a long time. |

| Another titanium leader alternative to the Terminator brand is to make your own. Last year I purchase a kit from R&H. I made six 9" leaders for about $4 a piece. Can't remember the brand of wire, but it was titanium. They held up like the Terminator brand, only dif was the ones I made did not have end sleeves so they didn't look as nice.
