I am heading to LSC in a few week for the first time. I want to try some jigging and casting, but I don't really plan on trolling. I am not sure what area of the lake I will be fishing (weather will dictate that), but I need a safe area to look for lodging. I have heard some of those areas are pretty sketchy.

I was planning on trying to fish the Detroit river area, but I am not sure if I would be better off fishing up north near the St Clair river at this time of year. I am not looking for any specific spots, but which area would be a better starting point.

Thanks!
Juhas
