Headed down to Madison for the weekend of Oct. 5th to try and hook some big gals. Any fall advice for down there? Never fished it even once. Was thinking of fishing Waubesa and Wingra. Not sure what areas to target though....depth, structure, etc. Suckers a good idea?

PM if more comfortable. Thanks!

Location: Contrarian Island
big girls are far and few between in wingra.. very few over 46" get caught in there... best bets are monona and waubesa.. can never go wrong with weedlines on either lake...suckers can get bit so drag a couple around...

You may want to hit up Jeff Hason as a guide if you have the funds and the time. I'm not saying that guys on here won't help or that they do not know the chain, clearly they do. But I do also know that Jeff is excellent out there. 608 848 3906.

Thanks for the info. Not gonna hire a guide though as that's not affordable for me right now. Any particular color patterns work well?
