I bought two of these baits over the winter and I have been working them like a Hellhound but really slow. I had a monster fish follow the bait twice but I could not get her to eat. I would appreciate any feedback on how people work them and any suggestions they have to trigger a fish with this bait.

Thanks

Hi Ed,
I use them with a straight 240# wire leader from Steath Tackle has been best for me, have tried floro also but the wire gives it a better glide for me.
I use a 9' Monster heavy- Musky Innovations rod same rod I throw pounders on.
I tend to fish it fast especially this time of year over the weeds and deep weedlines. Last Nov-Dec I fished them slow to get them deep after turnover.
I use hard taps to get it shooting side to side, very easy bait to get to glide.
When a fish is following it, best luck I have had is speeding it up and getting it to shoot back and forth fast in front of the fish has triggered some strikes
Good luck,
Jeff Hanson
