Location: Madison, WI | You want to know a secret... OK it's not really a secret! If you stay at Herbie's his maps are posted on the wall. You're free to check it out and mark up your own maps. And if you've ever fished with him you quickly find out that he fishes exactly the way he writes about and he fishes in the places that he tells others to fish. I've got a lot of respect for the man. Location: God's Country......USA..... Western Wisconsin | No question about it, Al Linder. He would have more maps to more lakes than just about anyone alive. Just think of the education you would get by figuring out why he marked those particular places. Would not matter if they were Walleye, Bass or Muskie spots. All of these species use the same spots at one time or another. You wouldn't live long enoughto check them all out. |

Went fishing with him to a lake that I had fished for many years and he had it figured out before we got in the boat. In my opinion, no one breaks down a lake better then him. I would love to steal his maps. |

I had him guide a friend and I a few years back and boy was it amazing.
He said there was over 700 lakes in Vilas County but he only exclusively fished a little over 60 lakes for musky. Over 60 lakes!!!
I have fished maybe only 15 lakes in my entire life and he fishes
exclusively on over 60. Boy I would like to know all his favorite
lakes and spots and how the weather determines which lakes and spots
he chooses. He is the GodFather in my book.

Location: oswego, il | I picked Rizzo because of his time on the water and his vast knowledge of alot of lakes and he fishes the area I fish. Pete Maina runs a close second for me. I think it's all a matter of where you fish. |

Location: Sheboygan Falls, WI | I did not see where I could add a person, so I voted for Herbie as he thinks like a fish similar to the person I was going to add.
Bill Sandy is the one that I would have added and voted for. He is also like Herbie in that he will tell you where to go to get fish and he will take you to these same spots. I have learned more from this man (or should I say musky machine) in the past 5 years than I ever have. Bill has that instinct and knowledge that many others lack. Hey, guiding for 30ish years since he was 9; not bad!
I believe that Bill is overlooked so much because he is so down to earth and low key. Those people out there that have fished with him will know exactly what I am talking about. Hey, who do you think some of the big names from the states go to fish with to find out what's happening on the "Woods"? They certainly do not do this just to go fishing for the fun of it.
I will be with Bill again this year in July. It cannot come soon enough.
